Plano was the home team for the second round of Plano v. Princeton 2026 district softball games held on March 27. A cold front had blown in early in the afternoon and by JV gametime a cold wind was howling across the field from the North, and by varsity game time a cold, wind-driven drizzle made playing conditions miserable. Nonetheless, both Plano teams won, and Plano varsity sent everyone home early after the top of the 5th with a 14-1 lead. The Plano Softball team braved the excruciating traffic between Plano and Princeton on Feb. 27 to play their first 2026 district game against Princeton at the home of the Lady Panthers, who created an awkward fashion moment by wearing almost the same color scheme uniforms as Plano’s “Away” uniforms. Undaunted, the Lady Wildcats swept both JV and varsity games, going home early after the fifth inning of the varsity game 15- zero. The Plano Lady Wildcats softball teams hosted Princeton for the first round of 2025 district games on Feb. 25 at Plano West’s field while the Wildcat’s field remains under construction.
