Friday the 13th proved unlucky for me as well as the Plano Wildcats varsity football team in 2023. Although scoring first with a FG, the Wildcats quickly fell behind in the first quarter when the Farmers intercepted for a quick 6, then converted a two-point attempt to go up 8-3. Lewisville commanded the lead for the rest of the game. October 14 was Pink Out Night for home team Plano Wildcats, and it was also Recognition Night for Wildcats Football 2007 season seniors. The Plano Wildcats hosted the Lewisville Farmers for their 2021 varsity district game on Oct. 15, and the Farmers demonstrated why they hold first place in District 6-6A a little more than half way through the season. Plano and Lewisville each combined their respective JV teams into one for their game on Nov. 12 at Plano’s Clark Stadium. The Fighting Farmers ran the starting kickoff back for a TD and never looked back as they held the Wildcats scoreless that evening.
