The Plano Lady Wildcats varsity softball team began the 2024 Allen Softball Tournament on Feb. 22 at 9:00 a.m. with a timed 105-minute game against Van Alstyne. The first few innings the teams struggled to get on the board, but Van Alstyne broke through and grabbed a commanding lead until the last few minutes of the game, when Plano staged a two-out rally to rack up 7 runs, which included a homer by Zoey Forsvall. Van Alstyne got the win, 11-9, but not by the blowout they envisioned when the Wildcats took their last stand at the plate.
