The first 2016 season district softball games between Plano West and Plano played just before the spring break storms opened up on March 7. Under threat of thunderstorms, the varsity game played out first, and the teams battled until the bottom of the 10th inning when the Lady Wildcats finally put the game away. The JV game played afterwards, and was called early due to lighting and rain.
