In: Plano Varsity Softball

It’s hard to describe the two Plano varsity softball scrimmage games on Feb. 4 as “warm-ups” considering temps in the upper 40’s under cloudy skies.  Perhaps tune-up is the better description, and in that case the Lady Wildcats were running on all cylinders, defeating Forney 9-1 and Rowlett 11-0.  The fans saw a lot of fresh faces on the Plano varsity squad, and while there may have been some jitters for a few, all the players appeared to be ready for prime time.  If these scrimmages are a preview of varsity district play, Plano fans have a lot to look forward to this season.
