The Lady Jaguars played the Lady Wildcats on a Saturday night, a rare event brought about due to rescheduling around a wet, cold spring this year. The Jaguars swept both JV and varsity play in the first match-up of this 2015 season. Flower Mound will host the second match on April 2 (weather permitting). The Plano Lady Wildcats varsity softball team hosted a round-robin pre-district tournament on Saturday, Feb. 7 and played games against Lovejoy, Rockwall Heath, and Bishop Lynch. The first game, at 9 a.m. against Lovejoy, revealed that the 2015 varsity Lady Wildcats are not morning people. But by noon Plano woke up and demonstrated skills they hope will take them into the post-season again this year. The second meeting of the Plano and Allen softball teams on April 18 closed out 2014 district play. With the varsity win, Plano advances to playoffs. The ominous storm clouds that delayed the JV game were warning signs for the Lady Wildcats as they met the Allen Lady Eagles for the first 2014 district games on March 28.
