Plano ISD’s Clark Field East was the venue for Plano Sports Authority’s 2024 5th/6th grade tackle football championship game on Nov. 16, featuring the Texas Hunt Squad Alpha D6 vs. Hurricanes D5. Alpha D6 went to halftime ahead 7-0, but the Hurricanes went full-throttle in the second half to win 13-7. The PSA Tackle Football League D3/4 Championship game was played at Plano’s Carpenter Field on November 11 between the Horns United and Hurricanes. The ‘Canes Head Coach is former Plano Senior High and Holy Cross football player CJ Martin. Regulation play ended in a 14-14 tie. The Horns United started OT on offense and scored a TD but failed to score points after. Taking their turn at offense, the ‘Canes scored a TD and then ground out a point after in a scrum across the goal line to win 21-20.
