Plano vs. Prosper Softball

It was a short week between district softball games due to school closures on Good Friday, so the Plano Lady Wildcats softball teams only had a day to pivot from their Tuesday games against Plano West to the next second round games against Prosper on Thursday April 2. The first 2026 district game between the Plano Lady Wildcats and the Prosper Lady Eagles was moved up a day, to March 5, to get ahead of forecast thunderstorms on the 6th. Prosper was the host and the Lady Wildcats did them no favors by jumping out to an early lead and never looking back, coming close to 10-run-ruling the Lady Eagles. Prosper hosted the second round of 2025 softball games on a cold, damp and windy Saturday (Apr. 5) that felt like a mid-February day. The home team won both games, but the outcome of the varsity game became close with Plano’s 4-run rally in the fifth that tied the game (final score, Prosper 5-4).
