As local Spring break week came to a close, McKinney and Plano started the second round of 2026 district games by competing mid-day on Saturday, March 21 at Plano’s new home field. It was also Senior Day for Plano and it’s eight seniors. The teams split wins, with McKinney winning a close JV game while Plano’s varsity won their game in five innings. With their home field still under construction, the Plano Wildcats softball teams are using the Plano West softball field as their Home field, and that was the location for the first 2025 district games between Plano and McKinney on Feb. 11. Despite the very cold conditions, the Wildcats JV and varsity pitchers were able to maintain control and guide both Wildcats teams to victory that evening.
