Heading into the second series of District 6-6A games for the 2018 season the Plano Wildcats hosted Denton Guyer (also Wildcats) on March 29 and once again Plano put a check mark in the Win column.  The kickoff of the second half of the season was also Plano Lady Wildcats Softball teacher appreciation night, so the stands were pretty full for a Thursday night game. Starting off 2017 Texas UIL District 6-6A softball play, the Plano Lady Wildcats split wins with the Denton Guyer Wildcats Tuesday evening at Plano.  Plano JV started and finished strong to win their game, but Plano’s varsity team fell victim to an opponent home run late in the game creating a hole they just couldn’t climb out of. The Plano Lady Wildcats softball team swept Denton Guyer in a best-of-three series that featured Friday night’s second game turning into a Saturday game, ending at 12:53 a.m.  Because of a rain delay for a prior game on the field in Prosper, that second game didn’t start until 9:17 p.m., and a rain delay in the bottom of the first inning put the teams on track for finishing the game past curfew.
