For their first 2016 district match the Plano Wildcats traveled east to the Lady Panthers Field on Sat. March 12 for games rescheduled from a rain-out earlier in the week.  The Lady Wildcats must have taken advantage of the break because both JV and varsity Wildcats beat the Panthers handily. The first 2016 season district softball games between Plano West and Plano played just before the spring break storms opened up on March 7.  Under threat of thunderstorms, the varsity game played out first, and the teams battled until the bottom of the 10th inning when the Lady Wildcats finally put the game away.  The JV game played afterwards, and was called early due to lighting and rain. The 2015 season has come to an end for the Plano Lady Wildcats Softball teams, and the season was celebrated at the softball program banquet on May 31.  Ten seniors said their good-byes, and JV and varsity players were recognized for achievement locally and at the district level. Hebron High School is hosting the field for the 2015 Bi-District round softball playoff games between Plano and Keller.  The first game in the best-of-three series was played Friday evening May 1st, and the Lady Wildcats were the visitors.  Keller took the first game 7-1.  The series continues Saturday May 2 at Hebron High School. The final games of the 2015 season district play for the Lady Wildcats were rained out two times, and on the third try on April 27 (varsity only; the JV game was already cancelled) rain and three lightning delays caused the coaches to call it a “no-game.” Yes, it rained, and it shows in some of the fans & faces photos HERE, and in some of the action shots HERE.
