The Plano Wildcats football teams checked off a major tune-up on August 21 for their 2015 season with a scrimmage against the Mesquite Skeeters.  Both JV and varsity squads with various combinations of athletes went full contact (except for QB’s) over the course of a long evening.  Acknowledging that there’s always room for improvement, especially pre-season, the Wildcats performed very well against their opponent Friday night and should thrive in the regular season. With a week of fall practice already under their belts, the 2015 Plano Wildcats football players and coaches joined parents and fans for a hearty breakfast at Plano Senior High on Saturday, Aug. 15.   Sponsored by the Quarterback Club annually, the QB Club breakfast was followed by the program photo shoot of the JV and varsity teams and individuals, and parents. Oct. 30 was Senior Night for the Plano Wildcats football team, the last home game of the 2014 regular season.  Marcus came to Plano to try to edge into the post-season; Plano needed the win to clinch a playoff berth.  Marcus fumbled in the first set, Plano recovered and scored after a few plays, and Marcus never had momentum for the rest of the game.  Plano will advance to post-season play. For the 2014 game Plano West was the home team versus Plano, and the stands on both sides of the stadium were accented in pink for breast cancer awareness.  The Wildcats earned bragging rights for the year with a 17-14 win over the previously undefeated Wolves.
