District 6-6A 4th seed Plano faced District 5-6A 1st Allen for the 2021 Bi-district softball playoff round. Weather issues caused the first two games to be played on Allen’s all-turf field in the best-of-three series, allowing the talented Lady Eagles to avoid travel and capture the title game at home. Best wishes to the Lady Eagles through the playoffs. Robbed by the weather to have a 2021 playoff game at home, the Lady Wildcats played hard and were worthy competitors, especially in the first game of the series that was scoreless until the bottom of the 7th. With the 2021 Texas District 6-6A softball play ending in a two-way tie for 3rd place between Plano and Hebron, a seeding playoff game was played at Plano West’s field on April 22. The Hebron Lady Hawks won 3-1 and advance to the bi-district playoffs seeded 3rd. The Plano Lady Wildcats advance to bi-district playoffs seeded in 4th place. The second bi-district softball playoff game between the Plano Lady Wildcats and Sachse Lady Mustangs played the evening of April 26, and since Plano won that game, the deciding game was played the morning of April 27. Plano’s winning momentum carried over from Friday to Saturday, and the Lady Wildcats advance in the playoffs. The Plano Lady Wildcats softball team qualified for 2019 Texas UIL 6A playoffs, and for bi-district play they drew the Sachse Mustangs as their opponent for a best-of-three series hosted at Rockwall-Heath High School Lady Hawks Field. The Lady Mustangs took the first game on April 25 with a 3-0 final. The Plano Lady Wildcats softball team won their way to the 2018 Texas UIL State 6A Semifinal Championship round of play, held June 1 in Austin, Texas, at the University of Texas McCombs Field.  The Lady Wildcats faced Humble Atascocita, who bested the Wildcats 4-2, and went on to become the 6A State Champions for this year. Plano swept the best-of-three game playoff series against Odessa Permian by winning the second game on May 18.   The Lady Wildcats came out swinging and connecting in the top of first inning, took the lead, and never looked back on the way to the 12-5 finish. May 5 and 6 were the dates for the 2017 Area Round of Texas 6A softball playoffs, with Plano Senior High going up against Waco Midway High, at Midlothian’s Heritage High School field.  It was set up to be a best-of-three series and it took all three games plus three extra innings of that final game for a winner to advance.  And with a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the 10th inning, Waco Midway advanced. The first game in a best-of-three series second round of 2016 UIL Softball playoffs between Plano Senior High and Mansfield was over the evening of May 6 in what seemed to be record time.  Playing at Colleyville Heritage H.S. field, Mansfield scored one run in the top of the 1st inning and that was all it took to win in a defense-heavy game, 1-0. The Lady Wildcats won the first game of the Regional Quarter Finals the the evening before, but on Saturday May 10 they weren’t able to carry over the momentum.  The Plano West Lady Wolves captured the second game, and after only a thirty minute break between games the Lady Wolves carried the day and the series by winning the third game.
