Over the decades, in one form or another, the Plano Wildcats football team plays its “Maroon & White” football game in May in front of parents and fans eager to get a preview glimpse of next Fall’s varsity and JV team line-ups. The 2025 version played the evening of Friday, May 9, in Clark Stadium, an evening that featured rain and sunshine and rainbows and a lot of young men anxious to prove they should be on the starting rosters in August. The Plano Wildcats football program held its annual Spring Maroon & White scrimmage games at Clark Stadium on May 19. The scrimmages featured prospective players for the JV and varsity teams for the Fall 2021 football season, each showcasing his or her (yes, both genders were on the field) talent and skills in hope of getting a leg up for a position on the roster for their team of choice in the Fall. In a year of many adjustments for Texas high school sports, the Plano Wildcats football team wasn’t able to conduct its traditional Maroon & White scrimmage in Clark Stadium in the spring. The alternative played out the morning of Sept. 12, 2020 on PSH’s campus athletic field as prospective JV and varsity squads conducted full-contact, full-tackle intra-team scrimmages Enthusiasm was high and positive among all the players, and from what I (photographing while masked and distanced) could tell no mercy was shown when it came to executing a play against an opposing teammate. The Plano Wildcats annual spring Maroon & White football scrimmage was held May 15 in John Clark Stadium.  Under the best weather conditions in years, the coaching staff put the players through the paces with the game clock turned off.  The verdict?  I’d say there were too many variables in play to reach any conclusions.  But if you take a look at the action photos you’ll see hints of great performance you may see in the fall.
