Plano’s JV sealed a dramatic come-from-behind 22-21 win over Hebron JV on Sept. 10 at Plano’s Clark Stadium when sophomore kicker #97 Drew Christian put the ball through the uprights for a FG as the clock ran out. Plano had been behind the entire game, and through persistence the Wildcats pulled the rug out from under the Hawks at the last possible moment. The Plano Wildcats football teams checked off a major tune-up on August 21 for their 2015 season with a scrimmage against the Mesquite Skeeters. Both JV and varsity squads with various combinations of athletes went full contact (except for QB’s) over the course of a long evening. Acknowledging that there’s always room for improvement, especially pre-season, the Wildcats performed very well against their opponent Friday night and should thrive in the regular season. With a week of fall practice already under their belts, the 2015 Plano Wildcats football players and coaches joined parents and fans for a hearty breakfast at Plano Senior High on Saturday, Aug. 15.
