The Plano Wildcat varsity 7 On 7 football team played at the 2016 Plano West 7 On 7 State Qualifying Tournament on June 4.  Due to rain earlier in the week, pool play was scattered throughout Plano and neighboring suburbs to take advantage of turf fields.  Pool D, comprised of Plano, Richardson, Frisco Heritage and Arlington Bowie, played at Frisco Heritage’s field.  The Wildcats started pool play strong, defeating Richardson in the first game 45-18, and Frisco Heritage 32-26 in the second game.  Arlington Bowie is a perennial nemesis of Plano in 7 On 7 play, and they continue to be a worthy opponent, bestingRead More →

The Plano Wildcats varsity 7 On 7 football team qualified to compete in the the 2015 Texas State 7 On 7 Football Championship Tournament at the Plano West SQT on June 6. The Wildcats were undefeated in pool play, besting McKinney 33-14, Denison 33-32, and Frisco Liberty 48-27. In the semi-final game the Wildcats poured it on in the second half to beat Plano East 40-16 and qualify for state.  Plano West was the other finalist, and in lieu of playing the teams turned to best-of-three Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine the SQT champion.  The Wolves won the bragging rights this year.
