Plano Wildcats and College of Holy Cross football alum C.J. Martin is the Head Coach for the Fury PSA football team, and I had to privilege to do a photo shoot of their last game of the regular 2014 season on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Plano’s Carpenter Fields. Coincidentally, the Fury’s opponent was named the Wildcats, in Plano maroon jerseys. The game went into overtime with the teams tied 12-12, but the Fury prevailed 18-12 and go on to the PSA playoffs. Photos of Fury action, and team and individual photos, can be viewed in THIS GALLERY. Read More →

The Plano Wildcats football team traveled to Mesquite on Friday, Aug. 22 for both JV and varsity scrimmages with the Skeeters. With live reffing, the teams alternated 12-play sets through most of the evening, and the varsity scrimmage ended with a timed 12-minute quarter. Neither team scored during the timed play. The Wildcats JV appeared to have an edge over their opponents, but the varsity Skeeters and Wildcats seemed to be evenly matched. Of course, both teams were using the scrimmage as an opportunity to test some players and player mixes, so fans can’t read too much into the event. Regardless, it was fun toRead More →
The Plano Wildcats annual spring Maroon & White football scrimmage was held May 15 in John Clark Stadium. Under the best weather conditions in years, the coaching staff put the players through the paces with the game clock turned off. The verdict? I’d say there were too many variables in play to reach any conclusions. But if you take a look at the action photos you’ll see hints of great performance you may see in the fall. Action photos are posted HERE. Fans and faces are posted HERE. Look closely and you’ll see Wildcats football alumni Tex McCullough and Carson Meger in gray coaching shirts,Read More →

The photos from yesterday afternoon’s PSH vs. Mesquite JV football scrimmage have been posted. The action gallery of photos are here, and the fans and faces gallery is here. The players from both teams represented their programs pretty well in the sweltering late afternoon sun that is typical for this time of year. Officiating appeared to have been provided by Mesquite athletics staff, and there were no timed quarters or scoring displayed on the scoreboard. Good luck to both JV programs for a great 2013 season!
