Plano hosted the second round of 2021 district softball games against Flower Mound on April 13 and the visitors swept the series. These were the last 2021 regular season home games for the Wildcats, and after the conclusion of the JV game parents of the seniors quietly came onto the field for a few minutes of catch with their daughters for the last time at Plano Senior High. In the second round of 2021 district softball play Plano hosted Marcus on March 30 and both JV and varsity games went the distance but Marcus won both games. It was also Teacher Appreciation Night for Plano, as player-selected faculty members were recognized on the field before the games and left with well-earned goodie bags. The harsh weather put an end to some earlier pre-season opportunities to photograph the Plano Lady Wildcats Softball JV & varsity teams, but the sun and warmer air is here! In what appears to be a shortened 2020 district softball season, Plano West hosted Plano softball on March 12 just as PISD announced all further sports activities would be suspended until further notice. Turning uncertainty into motivation, the varsity Lady Wildcats rallied from behind in the mid-innings of their game to take home a 12-6 win.
