The Clark Cougars 10th grade football team hosted Lewisville at John Clark Stadium on Nov. 6.  The Cougars, wearing Plano white & maroon jerseys, jumped to an early lead, then the Fighting Farmers crept within a point of a tie by the final buzzer.   But the Cougars lead held, and and their winning momentum carried over to the varsity Wildcats the next night, who bested the Farmers by a wide margin. Oct. 30 was Senior Night for the Plano Wildcats football team, the last home game of the 2014 regular season.  Marcus came to Plano to try to edge into the post-season; Plano needed the win to clinch a playoff berth.  Marcus fumbled in the first set, Plano recovered and scored after a few plays, and Marcus never had momentum for the rest of the game.  Plano will advance to post-season play. Flower Mound Marcus 9th graders traveled to John Clark Stadium on Oct. 29 to take on Clark High School’s 9th grade “A” and “B” teams.  Marcus won the “B” game, and the “A” teams tied after a very fast-paced, hard-hitting game. Plano Wildcats and College of Holy Cross football alum C.J. Martin is the Head Coach for the Fury PSA football team, and I had to privilege to do a photo shoot of their last game of the regular 2014 season on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Plano’s Carpenter Fields.  Coincidentally, the Fury’s opponent was named the Wildcats, in Plano maroon jerseys. The game went into overtime with the teams tied 12-12, but the Fury prevailed 18-12 and go on to the PSA playoffs.
