Plano Senior High School Wildcats varsity and JV softball teams held their first games on their brand new softball field on February 10, 2026, with the Richardson Eagles as their opponent.
Former Plano Softball Head Coach Cynthia Zea threw out the first pitch to one of her former student catchers, Mel McCullough Boyde, with many Plano Softball alumni, coaches and fans on hand to celebrate. Despite the cold front that blew in with sporadic light showers, the Wildcats won both JV and varsity games.
