Because the Plano Wildcats softball team’s field is under renovation, the Wildcats hosted the first 2025 district games against Plano East at Plano West’s softball field on March 14. In a season plagued by odd and extreme weather, this evening was no exception as the teams suffered through high winds and extremely dusty conditions as West Texas dirt blew in throughout the afternoon and evening, casting a brown haze under the lights. The JV game ended in a 4-4 tie, and the varsity game went to the Panthers at the end of six innings 11-1.
