Plano varsity softball participated in the annual Allen Softball Tournament held at Allen Station Fields Feb. 20-22, 2025. All games on the 20th were cancelled due to freezing wind chills, but it wasn’t much warmer on the 21st & 22nd. I made it to the last game for the Lady Wildcats on the late afternoon of the 22nd, against Melissa, the “Home Team.” The Lady Wildcats got behind early, and improved batting and fielding late in the game was not enough to turn the tide – Melissa booked the win.
