A deluge of rain the night before overwhelmed home team Plano’s field, and the solution was to cancel the JV game and move the varsity game to Plano West’s field, which is now completely turf. Coppell and Plano battled through the evening in a strong northerly wind that turned a pleasant environment at the beginning into uncomfortably cold and bitter conditions for the last two innings. In the end the Lady Cowboys held Plano at bay for the win as the Lady Wildcats couldn’t bring the base runners home.
