Lewisville hosted the second round of 2023 district play against the Plano Lady Wildcats on April 11, and it was varsity-only because Lewisville wasn’t able to field a JV team this week. That’s OK, because there were two games worth of action rolled into the one varsity game.
In the early innings the Lady Farmers took the lead and established a modest cushion of runs. Plano bats woke up in the 4th, and by the top of the 6th the Lady Wildcats took the lead. Lewisville responded with a run in the bottom of the 6th to tie, but Plano put up another run in the top of the 7th and Lewisville had no answer. Win to Plano 8-7.
