Plano West was Home Team for the 2021 cross-town rivalry game against Plano for what would be the last game of the season for both teams. The Wildcats held the lead going into halftime, but an early 3rd Q fumble by Plano seemed to be a momentum changer as the Wolves quickly capitalized on the error for a TD and used the advantage to maintain and widen their lead to the end.
For 2021 none of the PISD senior high schools earned City Champion bragging rights, as West lost to East, East lost to Plano, and Plano lost to West.
