The 2020 Plano Wildcats varsity football season started with an away game against the McKinney Lions that looked initially to be a lopsided win for McKinney but by the last minute of the game Plano was ahead, only to be denied the comeback win by a kickoff run-back for a TD by McKinney followed by a 2-point play to make it a 1-point Lion win.
