The Plano East Lady Panthers hosted the first round of 2019 softball games with the Plano Lady Wildcats on March 13, in the middle of Plano ISD’s spring break. The teams had been dogged by cold and rain the week before, but by game time the sun was out and the field was in good condition. Plano East won the JV game, and the varsity game finished regulation tied 4-4. In the 8th inning Plano scored 3 and East couldn’t respond, sending the varsity Lady Wildcats home with the win.
