For the third week in a row the Plano Wildcats varsity football team had to kill time during lightning delays at the scheduled start time for their game. This week, at Allen High School’s Eagles Stadium, the game started with the Eagles kicking to the Wildcats, but before the Wildcats could set for their first offensive play the game was suspended for lightning. Two hours later, after some sometimes-violent rain showers, play resumed. Though the teams were neck-and-neck through most of the first half, Allen pulled away just before halftime and never looked back, winning 49-14.
