The Eastwood Troopers traveled 650 miles from El Paso to play football in Clark Stadium against the Plano Wildcats on Sept. 7 and thanks to lightning delays they almost had a game that spanned two days. As it was, the lightning ended, but the rain continued on-and-off through the night and the game, creating errors, opportunities, and some very interesting photos. The game ended with Plano winning with 72, one of the highest scores in school history. Eastwood lost with 48, a score that was higher than that of most of the teams in the DFW area that won that night. The hearty fans for both teams that waited out the delays and suffered through the rain were treated to one of the most memorable games ever played in Plano’s Clark Stadium.
