The second Area playoff game on Saturday, May 7 was the last 2016 game for the Lady Wildcats softball team. Their opponent, Mansfield, won the first game in the best-of-three series the evening before, and on Saturday the Lady Tigers jum
ped into the lead in the bottom of the 6th inning and rode that lead to the series win.
It is only fitting that the last run of the year for the Lady Wildcats was an over-the-fence home run from the bat of a senior — Adrienne Edwards.
