Rescheduled from the prior sub-freezing and sleeting date, the Mesquite Horn vs. Plano Senior High varsity softball game on Feb. 12 produced three entries for the Wildcats Softball record book: the first varsity win of the 2014 season; the first game with new Varsity Assistant Coach Amy Lam; and the first win for new Varsity Head Coach Molly Pipak. Tied at three-all going into the bottom of the 7th, Jade Miller set the stage for the go-ahead with a triple. Next up, Kali Bolter banged a line drive that brought in Miller and closed the game with a Wildcats 4-3 win. Congratulations Coach Pipak, and welcome Coach Lam!
